  Dr Mohan is a vascular surgeon. He carried out his training at major vascular units in the UK, including at St Mary's Hospital in London, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. He was a consultant vascular surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary from 2001-2006, and undertook further training in endovascular techniques in Sydney, Australia. In 2006 he relocated to Australia and is now a clinical senior lecturer with the University of Sydney. Dr Mohan continues to be an examiner with the European Board of Vascular Surgery Qualifications, and also for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Mohan did research at Imperial College, University of London, for a doctor of medicine research degree (MD) into peripheral arterial disease, homocysteine and platelet function. He serves as a reviewer for a number of international medical journals and has many publications in the field of vascular and endovascular surgery.
