    Graduating from the University of Sydney in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science and an MBBS, Dr Chua commenced his junior medical officer appointment at Royal North Shore Hospital before being accepted into the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmology training course. As a registrar, Dr Chua was heavily involved in the Blue Mountains Eye Study as both the study coordinator and a clinical examiner based at the Centre for Vision Research within Westmead Hospital.Completing his ophthalmic training at the Sydney Eye Hospital, Dr Chua undertook a further fellowship to subspecialise in glaucoma at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne before returning to Sydney to continue his clinical and research commitments. Dr Chua has presented at numerous scientific congresses and has authored over a dozen articles published in peer reviewed journals. He is also on the medical resuscitation team as a volunteer doctor for the annual City to Surf fun run.

    Dr Chai is an ophthalmic surgeon with a subspecialty interest in glaucoma and small incision cataract surgery. A medical graduate of the University of Sydney, he completed his ophthalmic training at the Sydney Eye Hospital and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. He has completed a Fellowship in Glaucoma at Cheltenham and Gloucester, UK.

    Dr Booth-Mason is one of the founders of the Gordon Eye Surgery and a current partner of the practice. Dr Booth-Mason trained at St Thomas' Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London (UK) obtaining both medical and ophthalmology degrees. She held a consultant position at Sussex Eye Hospital, Brighton (UK) for four years before immigrating to Australia.Dr Booth-Mason was attached to Sydney Eye Hospital for two years before setting up a practice in Gordon. She has a special interest in cataract surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, and general and medical ophthalmology. Dr Booth-Mason also has an interest in clinical research.     Associate Professor Bala specialises in cataract, cornea and refractive surgery as well as in glaucoma surgery, having comprehensive experience in the anterior segment of the eye. He graduated from the University of Sydney with honours. He completed an additional year of research for which he was awarded a Bachelor of Science (Med) (honours).Associate Professor Bala completed his general ophthalmic training at Sydney Eye Hospital and has a PhD in ophthalmology. He completed further subspecialty training in Australia and overseas. Associate Professor Bala completed a glaucoma fellowship with Associate Professor Paul Healy at Westmead Hospital. He also completed a cornea fellowship with Dr Gerrit Melles in Holland, and a refractive fellowship with Dr Ioannis Aslanides in Greece. He has a number of research publications and is a senior clinical lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Macquarie University. He operates at Epping Day Surgery and performs refractive laser surgery at Personaleyes in Paramatta and at the York Street Clinic. Associate Professor Bala is fluent in English, Tamil and Hindi.

    Dr Hema Arvind completed her postgraduate training in Ophthalmology in India, and underwent post specialist training in Glaucoma at Sankara Nethralaya, one of the largest eye hospitals in India, then at the Sydney Eye Hospital. She worked as a consultant in India before moving to Australia and was awarded fellowship of the RANZCO. Her specific interests include Glaucoma, Cataract and Visual Electrophysiology. She is an active researcher, with several scientific publications and a PhD. She is clinical senior lecturer at the Macquarie University.

    Dr Marko Andric is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a subspecialty fellowship in medical retina, in particular macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and vascular diseases of the retina.Marko grew up in Tasmania where he attained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours. He completed his Ophthalmology training through Sydney Eye Hospital and a subsequent fellowship in Medical Retina with Professor Paul Mitchell. He has been involved in important clinical trials in medical retina, including upcoming therapies in diabetes and age-related macular degeneration. He has a passion for medicine in developing nations and remote areas. He has provided primary health care in remote regions of the Himalaya and ophthalmic care in East Timor and the Northern Territory, particularly Arnhem Land. Marko enjoys teaching and is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney Medical School. He has been involved in the teaching of medical students as well as trainee eye surgeons in his role as Professorial Senior at Sydney Eye Hospital and later, Medical Retina Fellow at Westmead.
