    Associate Professor Rickard is a colorectal surgeon at Macquarie University Hospital and Concord Hospital. He has extensive experience in advanced colorectal surgical techniques, colorectal cancer, laparoscopic colorectal surgery, inflammatory bowel disease and surgical epidemiology. Following graduation with honours from the University of Sydney, he undertook further surgical training locally (receiving a master's degree in Epidemilogy) and internationally. He is currently a member of the Australia and New Zealand Training Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and has been Chairman of the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is the Head of Department of Colorectal Surgery at Concord Hospital.

    Dr Andrew Gilmore is a colorectal surgeon at Macquarie University Hospital.. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of benign and malignant colorectal disease. His special interests in colorectal surgery include complex redo laparoscopic surgery and strategies to enable laparoscopic techniques in the obese. He has the largest Australian experience with the technique of Natural Orifice Specimen Extraction (NOSE) where colectomy can be performed with only four 5mm incisions. He performs routine and complex therapeutic colonoscopy. He is committed to innovations in surgery that minimise morbidity and perioperative suffering. He has been a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at the Orange Health Service and Dudley Private Hospital for 14 years and is also a VMO colorectal surgeon at the Liverpool Hospital.

    Professor Eyers is a colorectal surgeon at Macquarie University Hospital and has been a visiting medical officer at Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for more than 25 years. He is the Professor of Ethics at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Macquarie University.In addition to his provision of excellence in clinical care, special interests include bioethics, computing in medicine and contributing to health care delivery projects from a local to federal level.
