Professor Rowe is the inaugural Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Macquarie University. He studied biochemistry and medicine at the University of Sydney, and then trained in internal medicine and neurology at RNSH in Sydney before completing neurology training at Queen’s Square and Newcastle Upon Tyne. His doctoral studies in the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease were performed at Baylor College of Medicine and completed at the University of New South Wales. Since returning to Australia, he has worked clinically as a neurologist and academic whose research focuses on Parkinson’s disease and Motor Neurone Disease. He is the chairman of the Research Committee of Motor Neurone Disease Australia and is the co-author of four textbooks and more than thirty five original articles.

Dr Bacsi joined Macquarie Neurology in December 2013, having spent seven years working in the United Kingdom at the Royal Free Hospital (London) and QEII Hospital (Welwyn Garden City).   During her training she obtained a PhD in the area of vestibular reflexes and balance control.  She has a specialty interest in headache disorders and vertigo.

Dr Skulina obtained his medical qualifications with first class Honours from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany in 2002. He trained in Neurology and Neurophysiology at Zurich University Hospital in Switzerland and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney completing his training in Neurology and Neurophysiology in 2008. He has undertaken Stroke and Neurophysiology fellowships at Royal Prince Alfred hospital and worked as a research fellow at The George Institute for Global Health. Dr Skulina has completed a doctoral thesis in Neuroimmunology at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry investigating the role of lymphocytes in Multiple Sclerosis. Dr Skulina is a Consultant Neurologist at Macquarie University Hospital and Clinical Lecturer in Neurology at Macquarie University.
