Associate Professor Deva's clinical practice covers a broad spectrum and includes cosmetic surgery of the face and body, reconstructive facial surgery, elective and acute hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1991 with class 1 honours and was awarded the University Medal in Medicine.

After completing internship and residency at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, he was admitted into advanced training in general surgery in 1994 and completed a Masters of Surgery in 1996. He commenced advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 1996 and obtained his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2000. He has received numerous awards and prizes that recognise his contribution to research and teaching.

Clinical Associate Professor Gazi Hussain is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with primary interests in cosmetic surgery, facial and breast surgery, microsurgery and skin cancer surgery. He attended the University of New South Wales and after graduating with an MBBS degree he undertook ten years of training in surgery. In 1999 he was awarded a Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Clinical Associate Professor Hussain then spent a year in Toronto, Canada undertaking further advanced training in facial paralysis surgery, cosmetic surgery and microsurgery. In 2002 he became an instrumental member of the NSW selection Committee of the Board of Plastic Surgery training, overseeing the selection and training of all Plastic Surgeons in NSW. He has been the Supervisor of Plastic Surgery training at Concord Hospital from 2002- 2012 and the supervisor of training at Macquarie University Hospital from 2012 –2015. He has also been the Head of the Plastic Surgery Unit at Gosford Hospital. In 2010 Clinical Associate Professor Hussain was appointed as Clinical Senior Lecturer in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery at Macquarie University. As a mark of his standing with his peers, in 2013 he was approached to take on the role of President of the NSW Chapter of the Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr Thomas Lam is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a special interest in breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer. Dr Ngo is a plastic surgeon who graduated from UNSW medical school in 2001 and obtained the Australasian College of Surgeons Fellowship in 2010. Dr Ngo's areas of interest are head and neck oncology, facial trauma and reconstruction, and microsurgery (including facial reanimation and lymph node transfers). Dr Ngo gained experience in the UK, France and Taiwan in Head & Neck and Microsurgery before returning to take up appointments at Macquarie University Hospital and Liverpool Hospital. He is currently one of the few plastic surgeons in Australia offering microsurgical lymph node transfer surgery, at the Advanced Lymphoedema Assessment Clinic at Macquarie University.

Dr Louis Wessels is a cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgeon and is a senior lecturer at the faculty of medicine and health sciences. His practice covers the whole range of procedures in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery with special emphasis on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast (augmentation, reduction and breast lift) as well as facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is also an accomplished microsurgeon and regularly performs reconstructive microsurgery for breast reconstruction and head & neck restoration following cancer treatment. In addition, he has expertise in body contouring surgery and non-surgical cosmetic therapies.

Dr Wessels received his MBChB in South Africa, completing his internship & general surgery residency, training in one of the most challenging clinical environments, before completing his Fellowship and his Master of Medicine in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

He subsequently graduated from Macquarie University in the inaugural award of the Masters of Advanced Surgery (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery), for which he was awarded a Scholarship from Johnson & Johnson.

Dr Wessels successfully completed his second Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery when was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015. He is a member of the Surgical Infection Research Group at Macquarie University, and has published world-leading research on breast implant infection and outcomes following breast augmentation surgery.
